Artificial Intelligence Engineer

iToDEV – a super awesome mega cool IT company was established in 2006 (19 years and counting. That means, we know what we are doing). Our team with 40+ equally awesome people works on interesting, challenging and useful WEB systems and mobile apps development projects for our Lithuanian and foreign clients.

Our Future AI Engineer @iToDEV will Have to:

• Develop this and that, integrate this and that, make models go bzzz, think, and spit out results that actually make sense.
• Teach computers to understand and structure messy data (documents, reports, you name it).
• Be the brain behind our AI integrations - designing logic, combining models with rules, and making things look easy.
• Work closely with our backend heroes (PHP, Python, or whatever makes sense) to blend AI into our systems.
• Handle data responsibly - privacy and anonymization are not just buzzwords for us.
• Lead the way for future AI projects - you’ll set the tone, pick the tools, and show us how it’s done.
• Be a team player. We’re serious about this one. Be curious. Be creative.
• And yes, you’ll need to explain AI to non-AI people without making them cry.

From our Future AI Engineer @iToDEV We Require:

• To be in the development game for 4+ years or more, leveling up from rookie to pro by taking on progressively tougher projects.
• Hands-on experience with Python, PHP, or Node.js - pick your main weapon, but you should be able to integrate and connect things smoothly.
• Experience integrating or fine-tuning AI models - OpenAI, HuggingFace, LangChain, RAG pipelines (retrievers, vector databases, semantic search), your own homegrown wizardry - whatever works.
• Experience building or orchestrating AI agents, automations, or agentic flows using tools like n8n, LangGraph, or similar.
• Understanding of NLP, document analysis, or information extraction - teaching machines to read is kind of your thing.
• Experience working with APIs, data pipelines, or microservices - because things need to connect somehow, right?
• Good grasp of data privacy and security - anonymization, compliance, that kind of grown-up stuff.
• Ability to design architecture, lead integration, and make solid technical decisions without losing your cool.
• English - do you speak it? Did you understand any of these requirements?

Extra Karma Points for Knowing These Things:

• Knowledge graphs, rule-based systems, or AI reasoning - not magic, just logic (with a sprinkle of math).
• Model explainability, transparency, and metrics - you know what F1 means (and not just on Sundays).
• Integrating external data sources or search APIs - PubMed, Wikipedia, Mars Rover, whatever fits.
• Cloud and MLOps - AWS, Azure, GCP, GitHub Actions, or your favorite flavor of “let’s automate this.”
• Experience with PHP and Symfony or similar backend frameworks is a big plus.
• Agile methodologies. Stand up, stand up - for the champions, stand up lalala
• Jira. The beginning and the end of every User Story.
