About The Role

In this role, you will capture, record and produce accurate and timely data and analysis for incorporation into monthly commercial reports for a dynamic, major global retail client with a portfolio of approximately 125 retail stores across 8 countries within the EMEA region. You will produce analysis that empowers the client to understand their spend, identify problem hot spots, and address frequently recurring service failure issues.

Please note that this is a part-time position requiring 20 working hours per week.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Daily involvement with Operations team to understand the cost profile of service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on Macro KPI’s direct with the client.
  • Drive the local management in monitoring supplier performance through financial and KPI analysis.
  • Produce monthly client and ad hoc reports on planned and reactive, capex and opex spend.
  • Analyse trends and provide recommendations for continuous improvement to the Account Manager to consider.
  • Update and maintain the integrity of the master service cost and service frequency file that drives the supply chain spend matrix.
  • Assist in the production of budgets (revenue and capital expenditure) and forecasts as required.
  • Trend reporting and analytics of asset data.
  • Develop cost efficiency initiatives through data insights.
  • Work with the Centre of Excellence team to automate reporting where possible.
  • Work with the procurement partner on cost benchmarking activities.
  • Provide financial and data analysis to assist both the Finance and Procurement Managers in monitoring supplier performance and identifying value add opportunities.
  • Provide additional ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Assist in maintaining a cash neutral position by building a relationship with the client’s account payable team to ensure on timely payments.
  • Liaise with Macro head office finance and management teams to provide site-based information when necessary.
  • Assist in developing a deep understanding of commercial position of the contract from both client and company perspectives.
  • Build relationships and trust with internal and external stakeholders across multiple regions.
  • Develop skills and knowledge to utilise both Head Office and Client systems to extract, maintain, and report data.
  • Adopt and embody the Macro values.
  • Regularly attend Macro communication cascades to keep abreast of current developments .

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Desire to understand how the commercial model works.
  • Basic competency with IT tools, including MS Office systems, internet, email.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • A team player.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Qualifications in Math.

Desired:

  • Experience using multiple Accounting software (Coupa, CODA Dream)
  • Experience working in Facilities Management.
  • A strong desire to progress and succeed professionally.
  • Proficiency in other European languages (e.g. French, Spanish, Italian, German).
