System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build a protocol to efficiently inventory our Active Directory environment

• Ensure the relevance of inventory data in order to plan the next steps of our migration

• Organize efficient communication with the different stakeholders by structuring data collection and identifying the relevant information

• Report progress on the inventory process and highlight potential risks or issues

• Participate in the proof of concept in order to ensure application access is maintained and migration is seamless for our end users using tools like “Quest migrator pro” and “Quest on demand migration”

• Help us build the next design to ensure the consolidation of multiple Active Directory (AD) forests and domains into a unified forest (group nesting simplification, GPO consolidation...)

• Execute migration of users, groups, computers, and other AD objects using tools like “Quest migrator pro” and “Quest on demand migration”

• Administer and maintain AD infrastructure including domain controllers, Group Policies, Organizational Units (OUs), and AD-integrated applications.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to minimize business disruption.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for design, implementation, and training.

Requirements

• Proficiency in scripting and automation to efficiently interact with AD and Entra ID

• Hands-on experience with Active Directory migrations would be an definite advantage.

• Proven expertise with Quest migration tools and Active Directory

• Knowledge of Quest tools like “Enterprise Reporter” & “GP admin” considered a plus

• Ability to autonomously define a strategy and plan its implementation

• Must be able to turn complexity into simplicity and provide a clear status on tasks at hand

• Knowledge of Entra ID a definite advantage as our environment relies on hybrid identity

• Knowledge of Exchange and Exchange Online would be a plus

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication skills (French B2, English B2) for stakeholder engagement and technical documentation
