Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

✅ Eligibility: EU Nationality + NATO Secret cleared candidates or Portuguese citizens with eligibility for NATO clearance

🔍 What we’re looking for:

• Nationally recognized/certified university qualification in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience;
• Proven expertise in the design, configuration, and administration of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or VMware);
• Strong hands-on experience with virtualization, networking, and storage technologies;
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent scripting tools for automation and orchestration;
• Solid experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates;
• Good understanding of security hardening, patch management, and backup/recovery strategies;
• Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch);
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments;
• Ability to operate in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and deliver under minimal supervision;

⚛️ Duties:

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for NATO Core Cloud Infrastructure services and related environments;
• Perform Operations and Maintenance (O&M) tasks across hybrid cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance;
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in cloud infrastructure, providing advanced troubleshooting and technical guidance to resolve incidents and underlying causes;
• Participate in the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based enterprise systems (Azure, AWS, VMware, or hybrid);
• Assist in defining and maintaining infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates and automation scripts;
• Provide internal training and knowledge transfer on cloud best practices, system configuration, and operational procedures;
• Support integration of monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to enhance observability and proactive maintenance;
