Are you a strong, communicative security professional who bridges technical teams with risk & governance?
We’re looking for an IT Security Manager to join our client’s international organisation currently undergoing a major transformation and merger. You’ll translate security requirements into robust controls, strengthen detection and incident response capabilities, and ensure compliance across complex IT systems and applications. This is a hybrid position, with regular collaboration at the office and travel to Cologne & other European locations as needed, for real impact across a growing, security-focused enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Build and mature IT security capabilities across the organization
- Collaborate with operational IT teams to implement technical security controls (encryption, access control, vulnerability management, hardening)
- Define and enforce security configuration and compliance baselines (e.g. CIS Benchmarks) across systems & applications
- Work with the CISO Office, security architects, and engineers to assess risk exposure of new technologies and validate designs
- Support and improve SOC capabilities: detection, incident response, monitoring aligned with standards & threat models
- Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews from both a technical and audit/compliance perspective
- Review access provisioning/de-provisioning processes to ensure data protection and compliance
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and documentation (ISO 27001, DORA, etc.)
- Translate risk assessment findings and audit observations into actionable remediation tasks
Qualifications
- 5+ years in IT security, governance, operations, or risk management roles
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, DORA)
- Experience in enterprise or large-scale IT environments, collaborating with risk and compliance functions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to bridge technical and business teams
- Analytical, structured mindset with strong documentation skills
- Able to prioritize multiple initiatives and deliver under pressure
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead are a plus
- Fluency in English (other European languages are an advantage)
