We are looking for Android Developers to join a multinational retail company in Portugal.

Location: Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra (Hybrid – 1 day/week on-site)

Mid-level: 3+ years of experience

Senior-level: 5+ years of experience

Technical Requirements

• Strong expertise in Kotlin (primary language) and basic knowledge of Java
• Hands-on experience with Android Studio and Gradle
• Solid knowledge of UI frameworks and components: Jetpack Compose, XML, Material Design Components
• Proven experience with architectural patterns: MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture
• Proficiency in Jetpack Libraries (AndroidX): Navigation, StateFlow, ViewModel
• Strong understanding of networking frameworks: Retrofit, OkHttp
• Experience with dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt)
• Solid knowledge of asynchronous programming with Kotlin Coroutines + Flow (preferred) and/or RxJava
• Experience managing local storage and databases: Room, DataStore, SharedPreferences, EncryptedSharedPreferences
• Familiarity with analytics & monitoring tools: Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Firebase App Distribution
• Understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and modern frameworks
• Implement scalable architectures ensuring high-quality, testable code
• Build responsive and user-friendly UI components with Jetpack Compose and Material Design
• Integrate REST APIs and implement secure local data storage solutions
• Monitor and improve app reliability, analytics, and crash reporting
• Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and product teams in an Agile environment
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery
