Our client, a leading organization in the Financial Services industry, is seeking an experienced Cloud Administrator to join their Infrastructure and Operations team. The role focuses primarily on Microsoft Azure, with complementary exposure to AWS and IBM Cloud environments.
This is a hybrid position based in Lisbon, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-cloud, and high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain cloud infrastructures in Azure, AWS, and IBM Cloud.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (Terraform preferred).
- Configure and manage networking and security across cloud platforms (VNet/VPC, VPN, firewalls, NSGs, IAM, RBAC).
- Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot complex cloud environments using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and CloudWatch.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery (DR), and high availability strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (e.g., GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and best practice standards.
- Document processes, architectures, and operational procedures.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Azure administration.
- Strong knowledge of Azure AD, networking, security, storage, compute, and monitoring.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Complementary experience with AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS) and IBM Cloud.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and performance issues.
- Familiarity with DevOps / CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS).
- Experience in cloud cost management (right-sizing, autoscaling, reserved instances).
- Experience with hybrid multi-cloud environments (on-premises + cloud).
- Exposure to mission-critical systems with high availability and resilience requirements.
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
- Focus on security, compliance, and best practices.
- Customer-facing experience and ability to maintain effective client relationships.
