Data Analyst

Our client, a leading Dutch bank, is scaling its security logging processes by normalizing raw logs into structured schemas using Microsoft Azure tools. We’re seeking a Data Analysis & Security Logging Specialist to join the team and lead this transformative initiative. You’ll enhance data pipelines, ensure schema normalization, and maintain data integrity for over 150 applications. Key Responsibilities:

• Log Normalization: Identify security log fields/values and transform them into normalized
• schemas using KQL and Regex.
• Pipeline Integration: Apply configurations within Azure Monitor pipelines for seamless data
• flow.
• Testing & Validation: Test security log normalization and validate results with stakeholders to
• ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Data Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain data integrity over time, preventing log loss or
• inconsistencies.

Expected Outcomes:

• Achieve 60% normalization of security log schemas for 150 applications
• Successfully test, configure, and validate log normalization within Azure pipelines.
• Deliver consistent data quality and prevent the dropping of security logs.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Data Wrangling : Proficiency in KQL, Regex, and
• Data Engineering : Experience in implementing data analytics from source to consumption,
• with knowledge of Azure related pipelines preferred.
• Security Logging : Understanding security logging in diverse formats and
• SIEM Solutions : Experience with SIEM solutions and detection engineering (3 years or
• more).
• Information Security : Knowledge of identity and access management, cybercrime, and
• cybersecurity.
• Banking or Financial Sector Experience : Familiarity with relevant industry
• Agile Scrum Way of Working: Experience in working within Agile Scrum environments.
• Technical Domain Knowledge (Optional): Networking, web applications, HTTP, JSON, and
• XML.
• Data Savviness : Familiarity with working with data and extracting insights; ability to identify
• the real problems to solve.
• Communication and Data Visualization: Strong skills in understanding and addressing the
• needs of the audience.
• Relentless but Friendly: Following processes with persistence.
