About The Role
In this role, you will contribute to the development and production of our advanced mutation detection technology – superRCA®. Your focus will be on the practical execution of laboratory work: running experiments and documenting results with precision and structure.
You will work closely with experienced scientists from both academia and industry, and you’ll play an important role in supporting ongoing research and product development activities. This is a hands-on, lab-based position where accuracy, structure, and collaboration are key.
Your daily tasks include:
- Execute experiments according to established protocols.
- Support product development, quality control, and on-demand assay production activities.
- Document laboratory work, perform data analysis, and write test plans and reports.
- Perform laboratory management tasks, such as instrument qualification, verification, and maintenance.
- Contributing to continuous improvements in lab processes and workflows.
- All members of the R&D team work on-site, allowing for close collaboration, shared problem-solving, and the joy of learning from each other’s expertise.
You are structured and detail-oriented, and you truly enjoy laboratory work. You find satisfaction in executing experiments, following protocols, and ensuring that your work contributes to the team’s progress. You are curious, and thrive in an environment where teamwork and science go hand in hand. You have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for your assigned tasks.
We believe you have:
- A master’s degree (MSc) in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Previous hands-on experience in laboratory work, preferably within a regulated environment (industry or clinical setting). We are not hiring an expert, but you need to be able to handle a pipette.
- Solid hands-on skills in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR or ddPCR or similar.
- Experience from working in industry R&D or QC laboratories is an advantage.
- A structured and methodical approach to documentation.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
