About Labrador CMS

Labrador CMS is a modern SaaS publishing platform built for newsrooms and media companies. We power more than 350 sites across 18 countries — from national broadcasters and dailies to niche magazines and local publishers. Our customers rely on us to deliver fast, reliable, and flexible publishing tools that help them focus on journalism.

We’re a growing company and expanding our onboarding team to support a global customer base that includes TV2 Norway, Elle Magazine, Morgenbladet, Computerworld, Kode24.no, The Register and many more.

The media landscape is shifting fast. Publishers are simplifying their tech stacks, moving away from complex, costly setups. At the same time, they face new challenges: AI summaries threaten direct traffic, Google's algorithms change constantly, Facebook delivers less reach, and both ad revenue and subscriptions must be optimized. Labrador CMS sits at the center of these challenges, helping newsrooms adapt, integrate, and grow sustainably.

The Role

We're expanding our onboarding team and looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead onboarding projects for new customers globally. You’ll own the end-to-end delivery, from discovery and data migration to integrations, testing, and launch. This is a customer-facing role with high ownership, autonomy, and impact.

You will collaborate with our developers, onboarding engineers, and editorial specialists to understand each publisher's needs and translate them into efficient technical setups. You will also coordinate directly with customer teams and ensure smooth collaboration between all sides.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end onboarding projects for new publishers, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate technical setup, integrations, and content imports together with developers and data engineers.
  • Translate customer requirements into clear implementation plans.
  • Communicate directly with customers during onboarding — from kick-off to post-launch follow-up.
  • Collaborate with sales (HubSpot) and product teams to ensure knowledge transfer and improvement of onboarding processes.
  • Use internal AI tools and meeting transcriptions (Claude MCPs) to document and share project learnings.
  • Contribute ideas for automation, self-service tools, and process improvements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of how we onboard customers globally.
  • Occasionally travel for customer workshops, launches, and training (Europe, Asia and US)

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a project manager or in a similar technical coordination role.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies: HTML, JavaScript and CMS platforms.
  • Understanding of data structures, APIs, and SaaS/cloud integrations.
  • Mindset: Proactive, structured, Solution orientated and customer-focused.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and collaborating with developers.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Norwegian.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling several parallel projects.
  • Curious about the media industry. Ideally with experience from journalism, digital publishing, or media technology.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer workshops and launches.
  • Curious about media and publishing; experience in journalism or media tech is a plus.

Tech stack that the Developers use
