Strong Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Our client, a UK financial institution, has a long history of serving individuals and SMEs with loans and savings. Its focus is on commercial finance, mortgages, and deposit products that promote growth and stability. After recent investment and modernization, it is expanding its digital infrastructure to improve customer experience. Guided by values of clarity, empowerment, and excellence, it aims to blend traditional banking with innovation and growth.

What you will do

• to perform a hands-on approach to the overall delivery and automation of the infrastructure
• to support continuous integration and deployment
• to help develop and build out cloud-based infrastructure, so that it remains secure, automated, scalable and highly available across the platforms
• to work collaboratively with software engineering teams and squads to define infrastructure and deployment requirements as well as helping perform system troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms.

What you need for this

• 4+ years of experience working as a DevOps
• Strong AWS knowledge
• Strong Terraform capabilities to support IaC activities
• Strong CICD capabilities (ideally with GitHub or Gitlab experience)
• Strong knowledge of integrating security policies into the CICD to optimise securing code and pipeline processes.
• Strong Security skills and networking knowledge i.e. OIDC and VPN
• Strong observability skills preferably Datadog.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Entra and associated Azure cloud services.
• Good working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Strong hands-on knowledge of JavaScript and Python.
