With a disciplined approach, Lancaster manages both European & Global concentrated, fundamental equity long only and long/short strategies for its clients. These clients include endowments, foundations, charities, pension funds, family offices and wealth managers.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Trader based in London in our Great Portland Street office. The Junior Trader will be involved in executing and monitoring trades instructed from the portfolio managers, conducting market research & providing market feedback, analysing financial data, managing brokerage relationships, ensuring compliance with any relevant trading and regulatory rules, locating short inventory, and assisting in the preparation of trading reports. The role also includes liaising with other team members across the firm and contributing to the development of trading strategies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in market research and financial data analysis
- Solid understanding of trading strategies and execution (primarily equities and equity derivatives)
- Relevant experience in financial services is a must and ideally a trading background
- Minimum qualification of a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree, likely in Finance, Economics, Mathematics but not a prerequisite for these subjects
- Proficiency with Bloomberg and Microsoft Office at a minimum
