Senior .NET Developer - Manchester | Hybrid | £55,000-£65,000 DOE

We're working with a fast-growing tech company based in the heart of Manchester, building innovative digital solutions that power some of the UK's leading brands. Their culture is collaborative, forward-thinking, and driven by a passion for clean code, scalable systems, and continuous improvement.

They're looking for a Senior .NET Developer to help design, develop, and deliver high-performance software solutions that make a real impact.

Requirements

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications using C# and .NET (Core/6/7).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - product managers, designers, and other engineers - to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and SOLID principles.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps.
  • Mentor and guide mid-level and junior developers within the team.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance performance and maintainability.

Technologies

  • Languages & Frameworks: C#, .NET Core/6/7, ASP.NET, Entity Framework Core
  • Frontend (nice to have): React, Angular, or Blazor
  • Database: SQL Server, Azure SQL
  • Cloud & DevOps: Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps)
  • Tools & Practices: REST APIs, Microservices, TDD, Git, Agile (Scrum)

Essentials

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in .NET development.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
  • Familiarity with modern development practices such as CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for technology and learning.

Desirables

  • Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Blazor).
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Exposure to event-driven systems (e.g. using RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus)
