You will research and evaluate potential solutions aiming to provide a concrete tool that will be part of the AFT application. You will be able to gain extensive knowledge in a variety of technologies used in the industry, the complete development cycle of enterprise tools, aiming to provide a concrete solution which will be used throughout the Accelerator & Technology Sector.
Your responsibilities
- Participate in the gathering of User Requirements.
- Contribute to the Analysis & Design of the tool with an emphasis on the UX aspects.
- Take part in the implementation of the full-stack including writing tests.
- Participate in the operational deployment and in user support.
Your profile
- Practical knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript.
- Practical knowledge of Java.
- Practical knowledge of one of the major Web frameworks (Angular, VueJS, React).
- Practical knowledge of SpringBoot and Gradle.
Skills:
- Typescript and Angular.
- Java.
- Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Basic knowledge of Git and DevOps practices.
- Spoken and written English or French, with a commitment to learn the basics of the other language.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
- By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Web development (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
- Applicants without University degree are not eligible.
- Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
