About the Role:
Support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of IRT’s data and analytics platforms. Responsibilities: Assist in designing, building, and testing data pipelines, integrations, and transformations across multiple systems (e.g. AWS, Snowflake, Workato, Kafka, DBT).Work with senior engineers to uphold data quality, security, and governance standards.Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.Support troubleshooting and resolution of data issues under the guidance of senior team members.Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for building scalable and maintainable data solutions.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and contribute to technical solutions.Assist in monitoring and optimising data pipeline performance and efficiency.Learn and apply best practices in modern data engineering to deliver reliable, high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications: A degree in Computer Science, Software/Data Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
Required Skills: Strong programming fundamentals (Python, SQL, or equivalent).An understanding of databases, data modelling, and cloud concepts (academic or practical).Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from senior team members.A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Curiosity and a willingness to explore new tools, technologies, and practices.
