The Goal
What you’ll be doing
Join OpenBet’s Melbourne team as a Software Engineer and help shape the next generation of online sports betting platforms. You’ll work on large-scale, high-performance systems that deliver world-class betting experiences - while gaining hands-on training, mentoring, and opportunities to grow your technical expertise.
Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and product teams, and work directly with customers to deliver innovative, reliable, and scalable software solutions.
Successful candidates for this role must obtain and keep the required gaming licenses in various Australian states, this may require undergoing police clearance and credit checks where necessary.
The Player
What you’ll bring
You bring 2–4 years of software development experience and a strong foundation in Object Oriented Programming Languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
You thrive in Agile teams, write clean, test-driven code, and are skilled in APIs, SQL, and Linux environments.
You’re curious, adaptable, and always eager to learn new technologies - whether that’s Docker, AWS, or Kubernetes.
Strong communication, collaboration, and a “can-do” mindset set you apart. Bonus points for sports betting knowledge or direct client experience.
