UX/UI Product Designer

Peoplebank are recruiting for a Product Designer - UX / UI to work for our client in the Adelaide CBD, on an initial 6-month contract (likely to go longer).
 
In this role, you will work on a brand-new digital platform project, as well as other exciting initiatives!
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-fidelity, responsive user interface designs suitable for desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms.
  • Design new features and experiences for the new digital platform through sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Create user experiences that simplify complex workflows and promote ease of use and engagement.
  • Ensure all designs align with agency branding, established UI/UX standards, and contribute to the ongoing development of design systems and style guides.
  • Apply recognised user experience methodologies, including personas, journey mapping, usability testing, and research analysis, to inform design decisions.
  • Define and document user goals, tasks, environments, and accessibility requirements to support inclusive and effective design outcomes.
  • Select and apply appropriate techniques for gathering, analysing, and prioritising user experience requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts in alignment with project and agency objectives.
  • Conduct user testing, stakeholder interviews and research analysis to shape meaningful design decisions.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet business needs and can be delivered within existing operational environments.
  • Address complex design challenges by developing innovative, practical, and sustainable solutions that align with agency goals and contribute to collaborative outcomes across teams.
 
Skills / Experience
  • Proven knowledge and experience of responsive and mobile web design and awareness of current developments in the field of web technology.
  • Demonstrated experience developing sketches, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Experience developing detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns.
  • Demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to determine priorities, meet tight deadlines and produce high standard work under pressure.
  • Experience working with end users and business stakeholders, both internal and external to determine and extract user experience goals and requirements.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Knowledge of frontend web technologies HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (desirable)
  • A degree or qualifications in HCD, communication and graphic design, or multimedia and animation (desirable)
