Join the Property Program Delivery team within Treasury & Investment Services, where you'll support the delivery of high-value property initiatives across the Synod of NSW and ACT.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Manager – Property Program Delivery to join our Treasury & Investment Services team.
Reporting to the Head of Property Program Delivery, this role supports the delivery of Major Property Projects. Key responsibilities include property program management, project administration, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of major property projects to meet time, cost, quality, and missional goals.
- Assist in feasibility studies, cashflow forecasting, scope and cost estimates, and business case submissions.
- Coordinate communications between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ensure project governance including facilitation and participation in Development/Project Control Groups.
- Facilitate project governance and planning approvals (DA, CDC, etc.).
- Manage project budgets and timelines.
- Oversee invoice payments in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Assist in establishing and managing loan facilities.
- Draft reports for Boards and Committees.
- Respond to enquiries and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Liaise with authorities, consultants, and church councils to foster strong relationships.
- Communicate project issues and facilitate resolutions.
About You
You’re a proactive and detail-oriented professional with proven experience in property program management and project delivery. You particularly excel at coordinating complex initiatives, navigating dynamic stakeholder relationships, and working collaboratively to deliver positive outcomes in fast-paced environments.
You will bring:
- Relevant qualifications and 2–3 years’ experience in Property & Development
- Budgeting and expense management experience
- Ability to assess commercial and property proposals
- Knowledge of WHS, heritage standards, procurement, and contract administration
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure
- Advanced computer literacy
- A self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a genuine willingness to embrace challenges and work flexibly in support of the overall key objectives of the Synod
- A preparedness to work within the polity and ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia
