Monks is looking for an HR Generalist to join a large, dynamic, and fast-paced HR team. This role will provide essential day-to-day HR support, helping ensure smooth operations while contributing to global initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
Employee Life-Cycle Management:
- Continue to own hands-on HR administration and operational processes (contracts, Workday updates, payroll changes,, etc.) so the Associate Director can focus on strategic workforce planning and leadership coaching.
- Compile accurate HR data (turnover, headcount, engagement, ER case logs) and prepare dashboards or reports that the Associate Director can leverage in business reviews with global leadership and in supporting client accounts.
- Implement HR policies locally and ensure compliance with US and Canadian labor law, while escalating policy design or global consistency questions to the Associate Director. This ensures operations are compliant, freeing the Associate Director to focus on global policy frameworks and cross-regional compliance (EEOC, GDPR, California Pay Data, etc.).
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, handling queries with discretion and escalating complex cases to the Associate Director, ensuring documentation is thorough for case management.
- Support the Associate Director on cross-functional projects (e.g., merit cycle, engagement surveys, RTO, compliance initiatives) by coordinating logistics, gathering data, preparing toolkits, or ensuring adoption.
- 3 years of HR experience with demonstrated growth across HR operations, employee relations support, and HR systems management.
- Strong skills in Workday (or similar HRIS) and comfort supporting global HR programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and support global stakeholders across time zones.
- Excellent documentation, data management, and reporting skills, enabling the Associate Director to focus on higher-level strategic analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to balance hands-on execution with discretion and judgment.
- A mindset of collaboration and proactivity, comfortable escalating issues when needed, and driving follow-up independently.
