About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager / Director Project Management (Data Centre Construction) to lead the design, construction, and delivery of our flagship data center project in Finland. Reporting directly to the VP of Construction, this role will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle with a strong focus on construction execution, contractor management, and scheduling. The ideal candidate will come from a construction management background, with extensive hands-on experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure or data centre projects across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the end-to-end management of the Finland data center project, including design development, cross-functional coordination, reviews, and approvals during all project phases, culminating in operational handover.
• Working autonomously and as part of a team to deliver project tasks.
• Preparing project programs and monitoring projects in line with those programs developed by contractors and supply chain vendors.
• Take primary responsibility for construction sequencing, scheduling, and resource planning to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Managing internal and external project stakeholders, consultants and contractors to resolve issues and maintain alignment across all stakeholders.
• Undertaking procurement management including contractors’ selection, tendering, negotiation, and ongoing management to ensure performance and compliance with project requirements.
• Appointing and managing contractors while maintaining probity requirements
• Handling contract administration including evaluation of progress claims, variations, extensions of time and completing documentation.
• Monitoring and managing completion activities including commissioning, handover, take-over and defects.
• Monitoring project costs in line with the approved budget.
• Monitoring and reporting on actual performance compared with the program.
• Liaising with local authorities as required to ensure that the works are authorized as the project progresses.
• Ensuring monitoring, reporting and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
