Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior Data Analyst based in Riga, Valmiera, Cesis, Ventspils, Liepaja, Rezekne or Daugavpils with a portion of work that can be done from home. The Junior Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify trends and patterns. Daily tasks will include data cleaning, preparing reports, developing data-visualization graphics, and supporting data-driven decision making. The role requires working closely with other team members to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data analytics.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., SQL, R, Python)
• Strong skills in data cleaning, data visualization, and report preparation
• Understanding of data collection methods, data warehousing, and data mining
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience in risk management or business analysis is a plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience; can be the last year students
• 0-3 years experience in data analysis
• Basic statistical knowledge
• Basic understanding of how data can be managed in SQL, R or Python
• Experience working with Power BI and/or R-Connect will be considered as advantage
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Data Driven personality with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to acquire new technical skills
