Summary
Manages project milestones and production schedules to ensure that customers receive high-quality palletizing solutions that meet their specific needs. Coordinates materials, parts, and assemblies across departments to maintain efficient workflow, project profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Project Management
- Manages the after-sale process to ensure customer projects are executed according to contract requirements and timelines.
- Documents order details, including terms, purchase order, and sales order information into Infor.
- Prepares and distributes order acknowledgements to impacted departments to update the production schedule.
- Processes and tracks Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) based on customer requests, confirming completion prior to assembly.
- Provides regular status updates and communicates changes during the weekly production schedule meeting, ensuring milestone dates remain current.
- Observes project status on the assembly floor to ensure milestones are met and issues are resolved promptly.
- Coordinates and facilitates Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), including scheduling, hosting customer visits, and preparing test product.
- Manages project budgets, including buyout content and subcontractor coordination, to maintain target margins and control costs.
- Prepares and maintains production reports and databases by entering accurate data.
- Schedules and coordinates the flow of work within or between manufacturing departments using customer orders, established priorities, and resource availability.
- Monitors inventory levels to ensure adequate material supply and product availability.
- Adjusts production schedules based on lead times, capacity, and part availability.
- Resolves scheduling conflicts through analysis and communication with relevant departments.
- Maintains accurate inventory of materials and WIP; possesses expertise with company MRP/ERP system (Infor M3).
- Collaborates with manufacturing, procurement, and sales teams to align project and production goals.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring issues are addressed and expectations are met.
- Maintains and expands relationships with major accounts; includes up to 10% travel for onsite visits, FATs, and service efforts.
- Utilizes CRM to manage customer data and opportunities; ensures accurate, up-to-date records.
- Communicates proactively with internal and external stakeholders regarding project timelines, changes, and deliverables.
- Supports internal and external customer service by documenting needs and communicating expectations across teams.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives by documenting procedures and identifying non-value-added activities.
- Contributes to cross-functional Continuous Improvement (CI) teams and promotes efficiency.
- Collaborates with peers to develop standardized processes and solutions that enhance project execution and profitability.
- Stays current on professional and technical knowledge through workshops, professional networks, and industry publications.
- Assists with other duties and assignments as required to support department and company goals.
