The Position
As part of our expanding activities, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Capelle aan den IJssel. In this role, you will play a vital part in integrating security into all stages of the software development lifecycle. You will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and automated CI/CD environments for our clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software delivery.
- Integrate security best practices and tools into the development and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, vulnerabilities, and security incidents.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting new DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
- Support teams in applying security-by-design principles across projects.
Your Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or IT Security, with a strong focus on automation and security.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiar with security scanning tools for code, dependencies, and infrastructure (e.g. SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Snyk, Trivy).
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive, communicative, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Completed HBO or WO degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent in English (fluency in Dutch is a plus).
- Comfortable working remotely with engineering teams in other countries than the Netherlands.
