The Position

As part of our expanding activities, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Capelle aan den IJssel. In this role, you will play a vital part in integrating security into all stages of the software development lifecycle. You will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and automated CI/CD environments for our clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software delivery.
• Integrate security best practices and tools into the development and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, vulnerabilities, and security incidents.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting new DevSecOps tools and methodologies.
• Support teams in applying security-by-design principles across projects.

Your Profile

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or IT Security, with a strong focus on automation and security.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiar with security scanning tools for code, dependencies, and infrastructure (e.g. SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Snyk, Trivy).
• Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive, communicative, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Completed HBO or WO degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent in English (fluency in Dutch is a plus).
• Comfortable working remotely with engineering teams in other countries than the Netherlands.
