What you will do:
As the R2R Project Manager – General Accounting, you will be responsible for harmonizing accounting practices, supporting the rollout of digital tools, and ensuring alignment with local and group accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Drive standardization of journal entries, account justification, and closing activities across business entities
- Review manual journal entries to identify automation opportunities
- Support the development of an Account Reconciliation Policy for consistent practices
- Assist in creating Global and Local Reconciliation Frameworks
- Collaborate with local teams to validate feasibility of process changes
- Support implementation of account justification and automated journal entry tools
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Desired education, expertise, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong expertise in general ledger accounting and period-end closing
- Experience with SAP FI/GL and reconciliation tools (e.g., Trintech)
- Familiarity with journal entry automation and closing cockpit solutions
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP differences
- Familiarity with digital finance tools and transformation projects
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate local needs into actionable input for global project teams
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and hands-on technical skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience in automation and efficiency initiatives
- Structured approach to process harmonization and documentation
- Ability to bridge operational needs with system requirements
- Change management and training facilitation skills
- Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory frameworks
Languages:
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of French is an asset, but not mandatory
