As a Network Design & Planning Engineer at Nokia, you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing communication networks, focusing on radio network swap projects and technology upgrades. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Lead radio network swap projects, ensuring successful technology upgrades and vendor transitions.
- Analyze and plan site migrations to maintain or enhance coverage, capacity, and quality.
- Conduct RF planning and performance analysis pre- and post-swap activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to craft effective swap strategies and cutover plans.
- Verify network parameter settings post-swap and monitor KPIs to optimize performance.
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation and reports detailing swap progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Interface directly with customers to address technical queries and ensure satisfaction.
- Work within a multi-vendor environment, leveraging cross-functional communication skills to coordinate project efforts.
Must have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field
- Strong working experience on Radio Access technologies (planning & optimization) and swap projects
- Independent level on Nokia 2G/3G/4G/SRAN & 5G parameters, counters, and KPIs
- Proficiency in drive test data analysis and network optimization tools
- Experience with 5G swap projects
- Familiarity with OSS platforms
- Scripting (e.g., Python, SQL)
