Do you want to help us develop our ERP system?

This role is suited for someone who thrives in a work setting with a lot of freedom and responsibility, as we are looking for someone who is service-minded and keen to provide that little extra to our business users, while at the same time making use of the latest technological solutions.

Assuming the responsibility for development and coding work in Microsoft Business Central, the ERP system that supports all our business processes within Active Brands, you will work together with our internal IT functional consultants and Business process owners. In addition to that, you will also become an important contributor to support our digital strategy in general and play an important role in our adoption of new technology and system solutions.

As a Developer in Active Brands, you will have several key responsibilities:

You will develop and maintain our ERP solution, supporting all business functions.

This work will require you to participate in doing analysis, solution design, and development work, as well as handling incoming change and development requests, prioritizations, and follow-ups.

With your work, you will also help our departments work smarter and make more effective use of our systems. This is important, as your contributions will elevate our cooperation with external technical system partners.

To do the work, the following experience and skills might come in handy:

• Bachelor’s degree within Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field (relevant experience will be considered)
• Understanding of Dynamics 365 (BC or NAV) architecture and functionalities
• Knowledge of AL programming language
• Knowledge of APIs (SOAP/REST) for integrating ERP solutions with external systems
• Knowledge of deploying Microsoft Dynamics solutions in Azure, as well as Azure DevOps (or other version control systems)
• Familiarity with business processes in key areas
• Fluency in both Norwegian and English (both written and spoken)

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are attributes that are always a plus for a developer to have; the same goes for an analytical mindset to understand business issues and the communication skills to collaborate with others to figure out how tech solutions could support those. This role will test you on those aspects and requires you to be conscientious, reliable, and committed even when things get hectic.
