Job Overview:
The Project controller plays a crucial role in the successful execution of construction projects by managing project finances, monitoring progress, analysing data, and ensuring compliance with budgets and timelines.
Responsbilities:
• Track project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Monitor project costs, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
• Track and analyse project financial data to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders regarding project development requirements.
• Implement cost control procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Identify potential cost overruns, deviations, and risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to optimise project costs without compromising quality and timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
• Monitor project progress and provide timely updates on key milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate with various project teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure smooth workflow and efficient resource allocation.
• Assist in the procurement process by analysing bids, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
• Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and financial impacts.
• Generate comprehensive project reports and track performance metrics.
• Conduct regular data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Present reports and findings to project stakeholders, including management, clients, and contractors.
• Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
• Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in related role.
• Proven experience as a Project Controller or similar role in the construction and development industry.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field.
