The Client:
Our client is a globally recognized financial institution known for its relationship-driven culture and international reach. They are currently seeking a Corporate Banking Associate / Analyst to join their growing team in Toronto. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering long-term career development and hands-on exposure to cross-border corporate banking activities.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys building client relationships, analyzing corporate credit opportunities, and contributing to the success of multinational clients operating in Canada. You’ll join a collaborative team that values initiative, communication, and curiosity in a fast-paced, global environment.
What You’ll Accomplish in This Role
• Support business development initiatives by assisting with corporate lending, deposits, foreign exchange, and derivative transactions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, focusing on Canadian subsidiaries of international (particularly Asian) corporations.
• Assist in preparing client presentations, pitch materials, credit memos, and other internal documentation to support deal execution.
• Partner with colleagues across international offices to deliver coordinated and comprehensive banking solutions.
• Conduct industry and financial analysis to assess opportunities and potential risks.
• Participate in internal strategy meetings, product discussions, and client calls to gain a holistic view of the business.
• Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of internal reports and market updates.
• Represent the team at occasional after-hours client or industry events, supporting relationship-building efforts.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient processes and exceptional client service delivery.
• Take part in ongoing professional development, mentorship, and culture-building initiatives within the banking group.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
• 1–3 years of experience in corporate banking, commercial banking, or corporate finance, ideally within a bank or financial institution.
• Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (graduate degree an asset).
• Solid understanding of financial markets, corporate lending, and risk analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Bloomberg or similar financial systems (required for Associate level; an asset for Analyst level).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to confidently interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
• A valid driver’s license (occasional client visits required; company car provided).
• Bilingual proficiency in Japanese is a strong asset, reflecting the client base and internal team composition, though not mandatory.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Ontario, Canada (PR, Citizen, or valid work permit through 2027).

Compensation & Details
? Salary Range: $100-120K (flexible depending on experience) + performance-based bonus
