What You'll Do...
Position Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager with a strong background in Search technology and user experience to help shape how customers discover and find what they need across Walmart’s digital platforms.
You’ll drive strategy, execution, and innovation for our Search product area — leading cross-functional teams to deliver highly relevant, efficient, and delightful search experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep product management expertise (3+ years minimum) with hands-on experience in search, discovery, or relevance platforms, and who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Define Product Strategy: Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for Walmart’s Search capabilities, aligning with broader eCommerce and omni-channel strategies.
- Drive Execution: Translate strategy into actionable initiatives — define epics, write user stories, and manage a clear, prioritized backlog to deliver measurable impact.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with engineering, data science, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver search features that improve relevance, ranking, and conversion.
- Enhance Search Experience: Leverage customer insights, data analytics, and experimentation to continuously optimize search quality, discoverability, and performance.
- Lead Through Influence: Facilitate cross-functional alignment, resolve tradeoffs, and ensure search initiatives drive tangible business outcomes.
- Monitor & Improve: Track KPIs related to search engagement, latency, and relevance; drive continuous improvement through A/B testing and user feedback.
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of product management experience, ideally in large-scale technology or eCommerce environments.
- Proven experience leading search-related products — e.g., search algorithms, ranking/relevance models, query understanding, or discovery systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of using data to inform decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with search technologies (Elasticsearch, Solr, Lucene, or vector-based search).
- Familiarity with AI/ML-driven relevance, personalization, or recommendation systems.
- Experience in agile development and working with cross-functional delivery teams.
- Understanding of omni-channel retail customer behavior and trends
