Backend Rust Engineer – Remote US - $120,000 - $180,000
About the Company:
A venture-backed startup is building decentralized infrastructure to modernize global lending and credit markets. Their platform enables regulated financial institutions to issue, manage, and securitize loans using blockchain technology, smart contracts, and stablecoins. With over $1B in loan volume processed through international fintech partners, they are scaling real-world credit systems across emerging and developed economies.
Role Overview:
The company is hiring an experienced Rust Developer to take ownership of key backend services, optimize system performance, and contribute to a high-throughput infrastructure stack. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to connect blockchain-based lending logic with traditional financial systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain distributed backend services
- Improve system scalability, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams on system integration
- Enhance monitoring, observability, and automation workflows
Ideal Background:
- Strong experience with backend languages such as Rust
- Deep familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes) and Docker-based workflows
- Skilled in managing relational databases (Postgres) and data storage tools
- Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
Preferred Experience:
- Exposure to fintech or blockchain ecosystems
- Experience optimizing microservice architectures
- Understanding of credit systems or financial products
- Familiarity with data pipelines or analytics-based systems
The company work remotely within the US and are able to hire US citizens or Green Card holders.
On offer is a salary between $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience.
