Client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience. This role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure that supports our IT operations. The Network Engineer will assess network requirements, implement hardware and software solutions, ensure peak system performance, and provide troubleshooting support. The position involves working across multiple platforms and architectures while ensuring all solutions meet organizational and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general hardware and software support for Thin Client workstations, laptops, and user training for 125+ staff members.
- Ensure maximum uptime and efficient use of network operating systems, applications, servers, services, LANs, and related equipment.
- Manage and support MTRS's Microsoft Teams telephone system and associated hardware.
- Manage and support the FSLogix VDI User Profile Management environment.
- Assist with LAN/WAN administration on Windows Domain Controller Servers, including DHCP and DNS.
- Assists IT by testing and debugging agencies desktops, laptops, server hardware and systems software.
- Record, track, and evaluate staff requests using the Service Desk application.
- Apply patches and upgrades to host system firmware and software, coordinate with vendors during support calls.
- Collaborate with vendors to support Citrix Virtual Desktop and Application environments, including testing and verifying updates.
- Support the EMC Storage Area Network (SAN) environment, including disk arrays, fiber channel switches, tape libraries, and related components.
- Maintain and supports Windows File Server Administration, Barracuda Email Filter Software, and ServiceDesk application BMC Track-It.
- Contribute to assigned IT projects as directed.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional IT experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows Desktop operating systems.
- Experience with personal computers, server hardware, and associated peripherals.
- Knowledge of managing and maintaining AWS instances and Hyper-V 3.0 environments.
- Knowledge of Backup and BackupExec systems.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
