Network Engineer

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer in Fort Washington, PA. Responsibilities:

• Network Engineer will design and implement secure, scalable network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments
• Configure and support Cisco Nexus (NDFC), Palo Alto firewalls, NetScaler load balancers, and Azure networking components
• Monitor network performance and health using LogicMonitor and ServiceNow, ensuring timely issue resolution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise connectivity and security requirements
• Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments, ensuring high availability and optimal throughput
• Apply corporate standards and security policies to network architecture and operations
• As a Network Engineer, you will participate in network capacity planning, forecasting, and performance tuning
• Document network configurations, changes, and incident resolutions for compliance and future reference
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for escalated network issues
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network reliability and security
• Support structured cabling and physical network layer tasks when required
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, related field
• Preferred certification in networking technologies, CCNA
• 5 years of experience with the following: Cisco Nexus NDFC; Firewall/Security operations (Palo Alto, NetScaler); Network traffic analysis tools ; Enterprise LAN/WAN design and development
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
