Job Title: Front-End Developer

Time Zone: EST (5-6 hours overlap)

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Our client is looking for a Front-End React Developer, who will work closely with their founding team to ensure their product is reliable, polished, and delightful to use across all devices. You’ll test new features, identify issues, and validate mobile and responsive design, contributing directly to the trustworthiness of the product. A key focus will be mobile responsiveness for a wide variety of devices, including older tablets, phones, and screens with unusual resolutions or large fonts, as many of their users rely on older technology. You will also support QA tasks to help the engineering team focus on core product development.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll gain ownership, mentorship, and real-world startup experience - perfect for someone who’s excited to learn, grow, and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test and QA new features across web and mobile, ensuring they meet design, UX, and reliability standards.
• Debug smaller issues across the stack to improve stability and developer velocity.
• Validate responsive design and mobile experiences across devices and browsers, especially older devices with large fonts or different ratios.
• Take QA work off the engineering team’s plate, including resizing elements, fixing padding, and minor bug fixes.
• Write and maintain test cases for critical workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and product to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Provide feedback and ideas to improve product quality and team processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS with emphasis on mobile and responsive design.
• Familiarity with Supabase, AWS, and Terraform.
• Experience with software QA, testing, or development.
• Experience testing responsive design and accessibility.
• Comfort working with APIs or frameworks.
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Playwright).
• Eagerness to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to notice usability issues.
