ICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. This includes sovereign and turnkey ISR missions leveraging ICEYE's world-leading synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite technology, as well as access to data from the world's largest SAR satellite constellation. These capabilities enable partners to detect and respond to critical changes anywhere on Earth with unprecedented speed and accuracy - day or night and in any weather, supported by ultra high-resolution imagery and high-frequency revisits.
As a trusted partner for defense, intelligence, security, and maritime domain awareness, ICEYE's near real-time data creates a tactical advantage for mission-critical operations. Designed for dual use, the platform also serves civil protection and commercial users for natural-catastrophe intelligence, insurance, maritime monitoring (including oil-spill detection), and finance, contributing to global security and community resilience.

ICEYE's ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) team develops cutting-edge technology to empower defense and intelligence missions globally. We are building the next generation of tactical intelligence systems — combining real-time satellite imagery, AI analytics, and modular software components to deliver mission-critical insights to our government and defense partners.
As part of Phase II team expansion, we're looking for a pragmatic, hands-on Senior DevOps Engineer who thrives at the intersection of infrastructure and code. You'll join a small, high-impact team building infrastructure for our ISR Analytics platform — powering on-prem and hybrid deployments for secure defense environments.

You'll join a small, high-impact team building infrastructure for our ISR Analytics platform — powering on-prem and hybrid deployments for secure defense environments.
What You'll Do
- Own, build, and scale infrastructure for ISR analytics environments — both in AWS and on-premise (vSphere).
- Implement, monitor, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, logging, and metrics systems.
- Develop automation and tooling to simplify deployment, monitoring, and scaling across multiple secure environments.
- Write code where needed — e.g., to adapt configurations, integrate with backend services, or expose new metrics — without depending on others.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to ensure observability, stability, and performance in mission environments.
- Interface with other ICEYE DevOps teams to share learnings when needed.
Who You Are
- You identify as a mixture of DevOps engineer and a SRE-focused backend engineer, with strong emphasis on DevOps.
- You love building automation and infrastructure, but are also capable of diving into code when it makes sense.
- You're pragmatic — you ship solutions that work now, and know when to take shortcuts and when not to.
- You thrive in environments where not everything is defined yet — you can learn from others but aren't afraid to invent your own path.
- You value traceability — you track your assumptions and compromises over time through clear and relevant documentation.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Deep experience with:
- Terraform, AWS, Ansible, and Kubernetes
- Monitoring and observability tools — we use Loki, Mimir, and Grafana
- Linux systems administration and virtualization platforms
- Strong understanding of networking, CI/CD systems, and security in cloud and on-premise environments.
- Some proficiency in a backend language (for example Python, Go, or Rust) — enough to extend infrastructure tooling or integrate metrics.
- Experience in air-gapped / isolated or defense-related environments is a plus.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
