The Opportunity

The successful candidate will join the Technology Operations team and play a pivotal role in integrating machine vision solutions into automation projects. This position demands a high level of proficiency in implementing and enhancing machine vision technologies within automated systems to improve quality control and operational efficiency for clients. The role also involves exploring future trends in machine and computer vision for manufacturing and staying current on emerging technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Integrating machine vision solutions into automated manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborating with automation engineers to optimize vision systems in production environments.
  • Developing and deploying vision algorithms for defect detection and process improvement.
  • Assisting in PLC and robotic system integration with machine vision technologies.
  • Providing technical support and training for clients on machine vision solutions.
  • Developing use cases and exemplars of Machine Vision technologies.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong technical expertise in machine vision systems and automation.
  • Proficiency with vision platforms such as Cognex, Keyence, or Halcon.
  • Experience with PLC programming and robotic systems integration.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronic, or Process Engineering, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Knowledge of lighting and lens setup for automation equipment.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and standards.
  • Experience with AI tools like PyTorch or TensorFlow is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies.
