What we are looking for?
The Infrastructure Field IT Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability of hardware, software, and network systems across assigned locations. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and coordination with central IT teams to uphold service levels and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, printers, network devices, and other IT equipment.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to infrastructure, connectivity, and user access.
- Perform routine checks, patching, and updates on servers and network components.
- Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
- Assist in onboarding/offboarding activities including device provisioning and access setup.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assets, incidents, and service requests.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and data protection protocols.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrade projects and site rollouts.
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or specialized teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or field support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, networking fundamentals, and endpoint security.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and remote support tools.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to travel between sites and work independently.
