For a client active within travel, we are looking for an experienced Data Scientist with a background in statistics or pricing.

As a Data Scientist, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering new product capabilities-starting with paid smartflex. You'll collaborate across commercial, product, and engineering teams to build robust data pipelines and ensure scalable tracking and exposure. Your work will directly influence product strategy and experimentation, helping shape the future of travel insurance.

• Provide data science support to product stakeholders for data-driven decision-making
• Design and interpret quantitative experiments to guide business decisions
• Deliver end-to-end data science solutions in collaboration with product and research teams
• Continuously analyze product engagement and performance, generate insights, and propose new experiments
• Apply learnings to replicate product success across other areas within Intent Discovery and Platform
  
  

• 3+ years in Data Science roles; advanced degree preferred (Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, or similar)
• Strong background in pricing/economics
• Expertise in statistics:
  • Descriptive (Standard Deviation, Skewness)
  • Inferential (Hypothesis testing, Confidence intervals, p-values, Correlation vs Causation, Type I/II errors)
• Strong knowledge of experimentation:
  • A/B testing
  • Power analysis & sample size determination
  • Bias awareness in experimentation
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or R)
• Analytical, strategic, humble, entrepreneurial, and data-driven mindset
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong commercial acumen and adaptability in ambiguous environments
• Familiarity with optimisation techniques
