As a (Senior) AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and scaling AI-powered services that directly enhance user experience and business value. You will work on the core infrastructure for AI-driven solutions, integrating them seamlessly into SaaS platforms while setting best practices for future development. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that involves working with large language models, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to production-ready deployments, and mentor colleagues to elevate technical standards. The role provides an opportunity to influence both the architecture and strategic direction of AI initiatives in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AI-driven production features with a focus on scalability, robustness, and performance
- Implement and optimize AI pipelines, including LLMs, embeddings, and vector search components
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate AI seamlessly into user-facing features
- Contribute to testing, monitoring, and observability of AI systems to ensure high reliability and accuracy
- Lead technical discussions, mentor colleagues, and define standards for building, deploying, and maintaining AI services
- Continuously explore and implement AI innovations, driving the adoption of best practices across the team
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in SaaS environments
- Deep proficiency in Python and experience in building production-ready services
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and scaling AI/LLM-powered systems
- Familiarity with modern software development principles including CI/CD, version control, and automated testing
- Knowledge of applied AI/ML concepts, vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams
- Experience with AI frameworks such as Pydantic AI, LangChain, or LlamaIndex
- Experience with PostgreSQL and pgvector
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or agentic AI systems
- Exposure to cloud AI platforms, particularly Azure OpenAI services
