The healthcare sector is facing an imminent productivity gap due to an ageing population, cost pressure and high administrative burden. Medendo’s mission is to make healthcare affordable and accessible to all by supporting and unburdening healthcare workers in all their daily tasks.

Our first product is an AI assistant that provides a speech-to-text reporting service. We’ve been developing our product with our early customers and initial results are amazing but far from enough. To truly help healthcare employees, we need to provide our customers with a unified AI-powered experience for all their daily proceedings.

Role Overview

As an Infrastructure Engineer at Medendo, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our Workspace. You will design, build and maintain a cloud architecture that is performant, helps our developers to quickly makes progress and makes our security controls easy and manageable.

You feel a deep commitment to healthcare professionals and easing their burden. While keeping these users front and center, you bring solutions that empower them to provide even better care for their patients. Your enthusiasm for AI drives you to deliver a user experience beyond what current software offers.

Key Responsibilities

📊 Monitoring & Alerting - Ensure our application is running stable and cost efficient while supporting exponentially growing traffic.

🧗 ♂️ Security & logging - Make sure we implement and adhere to best practice security policies, by taking care of audit logging, redundancy measures, and Identity and Access Management.

🔐 CI/CD Pipelines - Enable developers to catch problems early, integrate continuously and deploy in short cycles.

🤝 Infrastructure design - optimize choices with the needs of end-users and developers.

🏃🏽 ♀️ Integration - Enable and maintain integrations with partner applications.

👨🏽 🏫 Implement new solutions - Design and implement new solutions for analytics, single-tenancy and new AI solutions.

Your Skills

Expert in Infrastructure Engineering:

🏗️ Proficiency with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).

☸ Experience with Kubernetes application management (Helm).

👩🏻 💻 Know-how of how to set-up, configure and manage SQL-Databases (PostgreSQL).

⏱️ Experience with Google Cloud Platform is preferred.

↔️ Foundational understanding of Cloud Networking.

General Development Skills

🏃🏽 ♀️ Agile Development Skills

🔄 Expertise in setting up Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines (Github actions).

🔒 Security: A proven the ability to implement and operate control measures as defined in ISO27001 and NEN 7510.

🐍 Generic software engineering skills in languages like SQL, Python and Javascript.

🧹 Thorough understanding of writing clean, readable, and maintainable code.
