Requirements

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in Python development and GCP-based data engineering.
  • Self-driven and technically strong Python Developer with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Airflow, and infrastructure automation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and contribute to setting technical direction within the team.
  • Design and Development: Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and applications using Python on GCP services such as Dataflow, Dataproc, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
  • Frameworks & Automation: Develop and orchestrate workflows using Airflow and dbt, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Use Terraform and Python scripting to provision, manage, and automate GCP infrastructure.
  • CI/CD & Automation: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, testing, and monitoring of cloud-based solutions.
  • Data Modeling & Analysis: Work with data models, warehouses, and lakes; perform data analysis using Pandas, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct code reviews, and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to GCP and Python applications in production environments.
  • Strong programming expertise in Python and Java, with hands-on experience in frameworks like Flask or Django.
  • Proficiency with GCP services, including Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
  • Experience working with Airflow, dbt, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines in GCP.
  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
  • Experience with version control tools (Git).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Data Engineer, Associate Cloud Engineer) are a plus.
