Are you an MSc or MBA student eager to explore how data, research, and strategy come together to drive sustainability in finance? Join Robeco’s Sustainable Investing (SI) Center of Expertise as a Thought Leadership intern and work at the intersection of academia, analytics, and impact.

At Robeco, a world leader in sustainable investing ranked #1 by ShareAction for responsible investment, you’ll collaborate with experts shaping our sustainability strategy — from climate and biodiversity to social rights and ESG data.

What You’ll Do

As part of the SI Thought Leadership team, you’ll work on a 4–6 month research project that advances Robeco’s sustainability insights and analytics. Your work directly contributes to improving our forward-looking models and strategic frameworks used company-wide.

You will:

• Analyze and refine sustainability analytics (e.g., social and climate traffic light models);
• Identify biases and propose methodological improvements;
• Test new data and techniques to reduce volatility or enhance insights;
• Research sustainability trends and correlations with financial performance;
• Explore innovative data sources using AI tools and advanced analytics.

You’ll collaborate with researchers and investment professionals across Robeco’s SI Center of Expertise — gaining hands-on experience in how sustainability intelligence drives real-world investment decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Current Master’s student with a strong academic record in (quantitative) finance, econometrics, data science, sustainability, or a related field;
• Strong analytical and research skills, with affinity for sustainability;
• Proficiency in Python, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools;
• Full-time availability (40h/week) for 4–6 months, starting Q1 2025;
• Eligible to intern in the Netherlands (EU student, or non-EU student enrolled at a Dutch university).
