A growing technology-driven organisation is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Java Developer who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges and building reliable, scalable backend systems. You’ll join a collaborative team working on the modernisation of existing platforms and the development of new solutions within a large-scale distribution environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into maintainable backend solutions.

• Contribute to the enhancement and modernisation of core systems using Java and contemporary frameworks.

• Work on integrations with third-party platforms, including ERP and cloud-based systems.

• Write high-quality, testable code and uphold consistent coding standards across the team.

• Read and interpret C# code when required, particularly for integrations or legacy transitions.

• Participate in pair or mob programming sessions to promote collaboration and maintain code quality.

• Suggest and implement improvements in processes, tooling, and system architecture.


Hard Skills Required:

• Strong experience in Java backend development.

• Hands-on experience with Azure or other major cloud environments.

• Ability to understand C# code for cross-technology work.

• Familiarity with modern architectural approaches such as microservices or modular monoliths.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools.

• Exposure to or interest in Test-Driven Development and Pair Programming.

• Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment.
