About the role:

We are looking for a dynamic, service-minded AI Engineer to drive the creative use of AI across our organization. As an AI Engineer, you will enable colleagues to explore, prototype, and implement AI solutions aligned with business needs, while promoting a data-driven culture and fostering hands-on innovation. Your work will contribute to our mission of helping save lives by enabling AI solutions that enhance our operations, products and services.

The position reports to Hans Gundersen, Director of Data Insights and Analytics. The job is based in Stavanger, Norway.


Responsibilities:

  • Champion and communicate the value of AI and data-driven approaches across teams
  • Guide and support colleagues in using our AI services effectively
  • Translate business needs into tangible prototypes of AI solutions
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and ideation sprints
  • Collaborate with colleagues to succeed with early-stage AI initiatives
  • Setting up API’s for solutions in development and production
  • Code AI prototypes and proof-of-concepts for AI solutions


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or similar
  • Several years of relevant experience
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills (large and small groups)
  • Experience in teaching, coaching, or enablement roles
  • A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively with stakeholders in tech and business
  • You express yourself clearly and professionally in English, both in writing and in conversation
  • Norwegian language skills are a plus
  • Proficient in Python
  • Hands-on experience with AI development tools/environments, preferably Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Copilot Studio, and AI Foundry
  • Ability to navigate cloud platforms and build AI prototypes
  • Understanding of technical product landscapes and integration point
