Catalyst Future Skills Academy (Markham, ON) is hiring part-time instructors to teach kids and teens (ages 6–18) the skills of tomorrow. Your mission: inspire, support, and guide students as they build real projects—no lesson planning needed.

Open Roles (multiple hires)
1) Visual Programming Instructor (Ages 6–12)
- Teach block-based coding (e.g., Scratch), logic, and creative problem-solving.
- Translate concepts like loops, events, and variables into fun activities.
- Bonus: experience working with younger learners (6–9).
2) Game Design Instructor (Ages 10–16)
- Guide students through designing and building simple 2D/3D games.
- Cover gameplay loops, level design, and playtesting; basic scripting is a plus.
- Tools include Scratch, Roblox Studio, and/or Unity (junior-friendly tracks).
3) Video Content Creation Instructor (Ages 9–18)
- Teach planning, storyboarding, filming basics, and editing fundamentals.
- Help students produce short-form videos and safe, positive online content.
- Familiarity with standard editing tools (CapCut, iMovie, Premiere, etc).
What you’ll do
- Create an engaging, supportive classroom vibe.
- Facilitate project-based learning and demos.
- Share quick progress updates with parents 4–5 times per course.
What you bring
- Genuine love for teaching kids/teens and celebrating their progress.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Confidence with classroom management and inclusive practices.
- Reliability for evening/weekend sessions in Markham (Box Grove area).
Nice-to-haves
- Prior teaching/tutoring or camp/club leadership experience.
- Portfolio or examples of your own game/video/creative work.
- Experience adapting activities by age/skill level.
Pay & logistics
- $50 per hour lesson (contract / part-time).
- Training + paid shadowing available.
- Start dates rolling; we’ll match your availability to new cohorts.
