AI Strategy & Governance Lead

We’re looking for a strategic and technically grounded leader to define and drive AI governance, best practices, and capability frameworks across the organization. This role is central to shaping how AI is developed and deployed responsibly; aligning with ethical principles, regulatory standards, and broader business goals.

You’ll lead a team of data science professionals and work across disciplines to uplift AI maturity, embed responsible AI practices, and guide the strategic direction of AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement AI governance frameworks, ethical guidelines, and compliance processes.
• Develop and promote standards and best practices for machine learning and AI model development, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Shape the AI strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead AI capability development, including training, knowledge sharing, and internal frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify high-impact AI opportunities.

What You Bring

• 15+ years of experience in data science, AI, or machine learning, with proven leadership in strategy or governance roles.
• Master's degree or PhD in AI, Machine Learning or Data Analytics or a related field will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of ML/AI frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch) and responsible AI principles.
• Familiarity with AI ethics, privacy regulations, and model risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience developing internal AI standards, frameworks, and capability programs.
