Network Engineer – Quantitative Trading Infrastructure (Singapore)

We’re looking for a Network Engineer to join a global quantitative trading firm operating at the forefront of low-latency technology. This is a high-impact opportunity to work on cutting-edge network infrastructure supporting real-time trading systems across multiple continents.

As part of a small, collaborative engineering team, you’ll take ownership of designing, building, and operating a highly available, ultra-low-latency network that powers global trading operations. The ideal candidate is someone with strong technical depth, hands-on experience in financial environments, and a passion for solving complex infrastructure challenges.

What You’ll Do

  • Engineer, maintain, and optimize high-performance network infrastructure supporting global trading systems
  • Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, multicast, IGMP, PIM)
  • Develop and deploy network automation and monitoring tools
  • Collaborate closely with developers, systems engineers, and traders to ensure minimal latency and maximum reliability
  • Work with telecom providers to deploy and manage global circuits
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a trading, financial, or similarly high-performance environment
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 fundamentals and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
  • Solid grasp of multicast networking and related protocols
  • Hands-on experience in data center environments
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience managing telecom circuits and time synchronization (GPS, NTP, PTP, PPS)
  • Exposure to Arista 7130 or other low-latency switching platforms

Nice to Have

  • Experience with EVPN/VXLAN/MPLS
  • Familiarity with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
  • Exposure to monitoring systems (Grafana, Splunk, ELK, Prometheus)
  • Knowledge of open-source routing daemons (Bird, Quagga)
  • CCNP or similar certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field

Why Join

You’ll work alongside a talented, tight-knit engineering team building infrastructure that directly powers global trading strategies. Expect an environment that values technical excellence, low-latency innovation, and continuous learning — with strong career progression and a competitive benefits package.
