Job Summary For .NET Web Developer (Madison,WI Remote/Local Only)

  • Support and enhance existing web applications within the Enterprise section.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team to maintain and upgrade web-based applications.
  • Develop both front-end and back-end features using C#, ASP.NET (MVC 5 & Core 8), .NET Core 6/7/8, and VB.NET.
  • Implement and maintain RESTful APIs, including middleware, dependency injection, and minimal APIs.
  • Debug, enhance, and maintain legacy codebases, especially in VB.NET and .NET Framework (4.8).
  • Design and develop rich UI components using Kendo UI (jQuery + MVC Wrappers), JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuned code for SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2 databases.
  • Integrate data across multiple RDBMS platforms, handle data migration, and cross-platform queries.
  • Build and consume RESTful web services with a focus on security and versioning.
  • Utilize ORM tools (Entity Framework, Dapper, ADO.NET) for data access.
  • Ensure front-end integration using HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and maintain browser compatibility.
  • Write and maintain unit tests for front-end and back-end code.
  • Use version control systems (Git) and follow best coding practices.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Apply security standards, implement fine-grained authorization (RBAC/ABAC), and ensure security compliance.
  • Provide production support and handle additional project assignments as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, collaborate within the team, and share technical expertise.
  • Work independently, knowing when to seek assistance; demonstrate strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Contribute to the modernization of government applications and participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Adhere to coding standards, ensure technical transparency, and maintain high-quality code deliverables.

Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in .NET/C#/ASP.NET development.
  • Deep experience with .NET Core 6/7/8, Kendo UI, JavaScript/jQuery, SQL, RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).
  • Strong background in legacy code maintenance, web service development, and authentication/authorization (Okta or similar).
  • Proficiency with front-end technologies, unit testing, technical documentation, and version control (Git).
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with SDLC/project management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in security, data integration, and requirements analysis.
