Software Engineer (Front-End)

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with deep expertise in building user-centric experiences and a proven track record of delivering AI-enabled, scalable solutions. In this role, you will drive the vision and execution for Microsoft 365 AI, working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, and extensive experience with UX frameworks. Proficiency in React is essential, as you will build reusable components and front-end libraries, enhancing the efficiency and coherence of our products. Responsibilities

• Architect and implement core response rendering components.
• Collaborate with partner teams to onboard new experiences into Response UX.
• Optimize performance and memory usage across the client stack.
• Drive telemetry instrumentation and metric validation.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• Solid proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with practical experience in developing web client applications deployed on major cloud platforms.
• Proven track record as a Software Development Engineer, with experience in delivering products.
• Familiarity with chat bots and NLP concepts is a plus but not required.
• Solid collaboration skills with the ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment.
• Passion for improving engineering practices and producing high-quality software.
• Self-motivated and customer focused.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in front-end development with JavaScript and React.
