As a Data Scientist at ESTO, you'II play a key role in developing and improving predictive models for credit scoring and risk assessment, directly impacting our ability to assess creditworthiness and minimize risk.

We expect you to push for innovative data-driven solutions and collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to build high-quality, scalable models.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and refine credit risk models to enhance loan decision-making.
  • Build and optimize credit scoring algorithms based on borrower behavior and alternative data sources.
  • Analyze large datasets to uncover insights that drive better risk assessment strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into loan origination and risk management systems.
  • Continuously test, validate, and improve predictive models to maximize accuracy.
  • Use statistical techniques to monitor loan portfolio performance and adapt risk strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in credit risk modeling, lending analytics, or financial risk assessment.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks.
  • Expertise in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and algorithm development.
  • Experience with alternative credit data sources (social, transactional, behavioral data) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset.
