Role overview 

The IT Administrator will provide essential technical support to MEG's internal teams and customers, while also being responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the organization's security controls. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities from managing cloud service backups and ISO compliance to providing internal tech support for employees and handling customer-facing technical configurations and issue resolution.


The full-time role is to start as soon as possible on a work from home basis most of the time, although it is expected that employees are available to come into the office once every 6 weeks. We aim to provide flexibility and a work/life balance that suits you.


This role reports directly to the CIO.


Roles & Responsibilities

The IT Administrator is responsible for providing technical support to MEG staff and customers and ensuring that organization security controls are implemented.

  • Security administration
  • Ensuring ISO related standards are being followed by each department. You will play a key role in annual internal and external ISO audits.
  • Filling out technical security questionnaires in response to tenders
  • Communicating updates related to threat intelligence. Ensuring the affected departments make necessary changes to implement feedback
  • Managing the relationship with our security and operations third party supplier.
  • Performing manual back ups of third party cloud services on a regular schedule.
  • Participating in the monthly security committee meetings.
  • Internal support
  • Configuration management for employees: Onboarding new employees, Offboarding leavers, Granting access to services according to ISO defined config management policy.
  • Configuration management for our MEG QMS instances.
  • Providing hardware and software technical support to employees.
  • Producing reports for internal teams based on system usage.
  • Customer support
  • Configuration management customers: API integrations, SAML configuration, LDAP configuration, Mirth connect configuration
  • Providing technical support to the MEG platform.
  • Data migration and integration project management


Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in an IT support or security administration role.
  • Technically proficient in web and cloud technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cloud service management and backup procedures
  • Proficiency in configuration management for various systems
  • Excellent technical support skills for both hardware and software issues
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • An interest and an aptitude for data security
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to learn on the job
  • Located in Ireland


Nice to have

  • Demonstrable expertise in ISO 27001 standards and auditing processes
  • Experience in data migration and integration project management
